putting down her ukelele
     spitting massive loogie
holding forth
     she belches on this
hot polluted day

all this stuff unfolds below
     a smog-encrusted awning

typical l.a.
     empty-headed
minnie mouse
     jumping up and down

"k you moneygrubbing drip"
     her brow is lighting up
cheesy cartoon players
     bust on agent k

wile e coyote
     on the vile reagan freeway
lightning fast this chimpanzee
     drools into a cell phone

"agent k you dimwit
     i dislike you
by the way
what's this joke
     i hear you wrote
     a mickey mouse screenplay"

toxins pulse inside his head
     strapped-down-in-a-power-sled
k boy in some purple stillness
     down las palmas flits away

in the moonlight
     cheaply glittering
     characters are heard to say
"lookie lucy there's that kooky
     crazy agent k"
