from the cloisters to delancey.

curses & corrosive jeers
washed up on the sidewalk here.
gangland rat won't tell you that
the well-respected bureaucrat
he's bought off …

the truth is that
no one can be trusted.

shambling past depressing dumpsters
porcupine-ster paying dues,
stiff & sore points up his pores …
the gotham city blues.

pakistani taxi driver
pumping made-in-china shoes,
in the back seat dingbats squawk
the gotham city blues.
